Exchange studies abroad

Exchange studies offer an unique opportunity to enrich your life in many ways. Getting to know a new culture, improving language skills, increasing professional opportunities and personal growth are just some of the reasons why exchange studies are worthwhile. International experience broadens one's worldview and develops important skills that benefit both studies and future careers.

Do you have a specific country in mind that you would like to go to?

If you have been thinking about studying abroad during the academic year 2025–2026, now is the right time to start planning your exchange period. All exchange places for next academic year are open in the main application period, and the application period will be open 1.1-15.2.2025. An additional application period for spring 2026 will be organised in September 2025.

General exchange info in Teams

Degree students planning an exchange abroad can come and ask about exchange matters at the general exchange info. International Relations Planners Teija Sirola and Saija Kotamäki will answer questions. Links to the info can be found on the front page of the Internationalisation Through Studies section under Events . Infos are held as follows:

Short Mobilities Abroad

Are you interested in a period abroad, but feel that an exchange that lasts the whole semester is too long or difficult to implement?

On the Short Mobilities Abroad page, we collect Calls for summer schools, BIPs and other short mobility periods. So please check the Calls regularly – they will be added to the site as we become aware of them.

Opening hours of International Services

International Services are available on the Rajakatu campus on Tue and Thu from 10 am to 2 pm (B1 Boulevard) and on Tuesdays at Dynamo (Student Services Office) from 10 am to 2 pm. Welcome to stop by without an appointment!

At other times, multichannel services: Bookings appointments, email, phone, Helpdesk, Zoom, and Teams.
